About the System

MDK 50-12R — Precision dosing of micro components

The MDK 50-12R micro-component dosing system is designed to dose 12 bulk components into one batch. It is used for precision dosing of bulk components for the preparation of PMVS and concentrated feed.

The system is intended for use on agricultural farms and in other agricultural enterprises for preparing feed blends from various types of grains, animal and plant-derived raw materials for feeding cattle, horses, pigs, poultry, fish and other animals.

Advantages

Features and Benefits

High operating speed

The system enables simultaneous dosing of 3 different components into 3 weighing vessels in parallel, achieving maximum productivity in a short cycle.

High dosing accuracy

Equipped with HBM strain-gauge load cells with S3MR measurement accuracy, whose signal is processed by a 24-bit sigma-delta ADC — total error ≤ ±0.02%.

Adjustable feeder capacity

Capacity is selected according to the dosing range of each component. Motovario or STROINA worm-gear reducers with ratios 20, 25, 30 and screws of various diameters are used.

Dual-speed operating mode

Feeders operate in dual-speed mode for coarse and fine dosing. The fine dosing weight is set individually for each component; speed adjustment via frequency drives is also possible.

Pneumatic isolation valves

Feeders are equipped with pneumatic isolation valves (Festo or Camozzi), which prevent spontaneous spillage of adjacent components. High vessel walls prevent overfilling.

Rectangular stainless steel hoppers

The rectangular hopper shape makes efficient use of space, while angled corners reduce bridging. All product-contact parts are stainless steel — suitable for the food industry.

Pneumatic vibrators on hoppers

Mounted on hoppers, vibrators activate automatically only in the event of bridging or blockage — only for the specific hopper affected, without unnecessary activations.

Additional equipment

Bag Unloading Device PR-250

PR-250 — Hopper filling device

The bag emptying device PR-250, used to fill each hopper, is mounted on a platform at the top of the MDK system and easily moves from one hopper to another.

An internal local filter prevents dust in production facilities and loss of premix micro-components. Filter cleaning — both in manual (shake handle) and automatic mode — ensures removal of expensive components from the filling chamber and maximum filling of the supply hoppers.

Control system

Autonomous dosing control system

Controller TD-02M + relay block BR-01M

The system is based on TD-02M load cell controllers and custom-designed relay blocks control relays, which have operated without failure for more than 8 years. This solution is almost 4 times cheaper than branded component-based solutions, and is equipped with industrial-grade database of leading global manufacturers.

The controller receives control instructions and recipe parameters from the higher-level management system, handles all dosing tasks at the lower level, includes dosing screws and prepares data reports.

Supported higher-level systems (Modbus)

  • Programmable logic controller — ICP DAS
  • Computer with installed SCADA software complex
  • Special WEB HMI device

The management system remains fully operational even without the higher-level system — manual mode load cell controller enables manual start of dosing and component discharge processes.

Scalability

Implementing a dosing management system enables scaling of technological processes without overloading the higher-level management system. Multiple dosing systems can be applied in one technological process — with different characteristics — achieving the required accuracy and high performance of the entire production line.

Simple setup

Direct access to all operating parameters from the front panel of the load cell controller:

  • Scale zeroing
  • Calibration and verification
  • Recipe management
  • Configuration of communication parameters with external devices
